Living with less: financial edition

The husband said it's okay to start noting our family expenses online, minus the mortgage. Shaming us into spending less?  Whatever works, I suppose. So for your auditor in you, I present our September expenses.

Until later!

  1. Wow, it certainly adds up, doesn't it. That's why I have a stringent budget. I even depreciate all my furniture and electrical items over their life into a separate bank account.

Huh, can you tell I work in a finance job?

    1. oh yes! you'll have to explain to me what depreciating something into a separate bank account means. I'm quite ignorant about these things!

  2. I'm pretty jealous that you pay so little for internet!! I can't wait to see how you pare down...and how you end up feeling about it. If it gives you any hope, your expenses are more than our bills for 4 people/month (and more than The Hubs' take home lol), so you can do it!

    1. ah, that's not what we usually pay. We got rid of our landline last month and they credited the $30 difference to our account. It's usually around $35 for the internet since we don't have cable. But that's still pretty good!
