I must be weird or something. Because in high school I wore a size 8 shoe. By grad school I wore a 7.5. Now, I fit into size 7 shoes! Has anyone else had this problem? I thought feet didn't get smaller, only larger. Unfortunately this means that I don't fit into my older shoes. So much for the $99 I spent on these cute things ages ago. I fall right out of them now. Then again, how cute can I really think they are? I only wore them four times!
*the reckoning*
Item 151: a pair of heels that don't fit.
Cost: $99
Fate: the thrift shop
Total money wasted so far: $1743.00
Hmm... I fear I have the opposite problem! I used to be able to wear a size 9... then it was a size 10. Now I can hardly wear women's shoes at all. I generally wear a men's 8 or 9. Perhaps it is my refusal to squish my toes into torture devices like the shoes you have pictured! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy feet got bigger when I was pregnant. I had to give away all my shoes.
ReplyDeleteI'd settle for mine getting wider. I'm a AA narrow!
DeleteI just find that shoes vary wildly depending where you get them from...so I can be a seven or an eight (not sure if Uk sizes are different) or a 7.5 in places that do them.
ReplyDeleteEarlier this year I have away my two pairs of heels, because heels are uncomfortable so I always wear boots or ballet pumps
I totally agree that it can be a brand thing, for sure! If you're too concerned, you can measure your feet yearly ;)
ReplyDeleteI sort of thought telling you to keep them in case your feet grow during pregnancy (mine never did...thankfully because I have huge feet for my height)...but then I realized, "When will she wear 3+ inch stilettos during pregnancy?!" So yeah, thrift store is a good choice haha!
haha, knowing me I'll try to wear 3-inch heels when I'm pregnant!
DeleteMy feet grew a full size larger after 4 pregnancies.
ReplyDeletewe only plan to have two kids, does that mean (quite seriously!) that my feet will only grow 1/2 size? My grandmother's feet also grew a full size after 4 pregnancies. :o)
DeleteI wish my feet would shrink! I'm a size 11, so going to a ten would be a dream.
ReplyDeleteBig Footed women UNITE!!!!
Deletewell, if you can find Paris Hilton's shoe maker, I've heard she's a size 11! Or maybe we could raid her shoe closet. I'm sure she has hundreds she doesn't need and is willing to declutter lol!
