We don't have Black Friday in the UK (yet!), but we do have the 'January' sales, which start on Boxing Day, for which people queue up for when really they should be so full of food and Christmassy goodness that they can't move. Plus, they probably just unwrapped lots of stuff, why do they need more?!
you'd think people would be exhausted after all of the holiday prep! At least that's the way it was when I was in Spain. People were too exhausted emotionally and financially to do the January sales.
I am so over the sales mentality here in Australia. Post-Christmas, pre-Christmas, January, end of financial year, winter, summer, spring - any excuse for a sale. The latest nonsense was 'Click Frenzy' - a trumped-up online sale which was a complete shambles!!
I do not not need any more stuff in my life so I do not go to the shops, regardless of how many sales they have.
No kidding! How sad is that?!
